Foundation Process Space is private non-profit organization, annually organizing multitude of art events and contemporary art festival “Process space”. The idea of the festival is to unite artists from all over the world which are using conventional and unconventional art materials, all kind of new medias and to create an artistic platform for their manifestation. Additionally, the festival has been organizing actions, workshops, lectures, debates and happenings presenting contemporary art form on social, political, ecological, cultural problems. Students groups from the National Art Academy, New Bulgarian University in Sofia, and Arts schools from the country have been attending the festival and working together with the invited artists, joining their performances, practical lessons and theatrical appearances.
Important regulation of the festival is for participants to leave one art work at the end of the event as an evidence of their participation and to be a part of our collection. It is crucial because creating a collection is an essence of our mission that is to build a representative selection of contemporary art works, which could be the basis of a future museum of Contemporary art in Bulgaria.
